Transformation of E.coli with Plasmids from Wendy

Plasmids DNA is first extracted from the piece of paper, and then used in transformation of competent E.coli cells. The purpose of this procedure is to amplify and store the plasmids DNA.

• Cut out half of the circle marked on the paper sent from Wendy. Dissolve one piece of paper in Ellusion buffer from Qiagen.
• Spin in the micro centrifuge for 1 min.
• Transform competent E.coli cells with the plasmids DNA]
