  • DSM will be called
  • Elsevier wil be contacted via Pernette
  • Microcanon, Bejo Zaden and het Genootschap ter bevordering van Natuur-, Genees- en Heelkunde has been contacted
  • Baseclear discount depends on order size

Calling companies

  • All companies should be called
    • This will be divided over the whole group
    • Jantine will make a guide for calling the companies
  • Ask for the name of the contactperson/telephone number

Projects

  • No translation of DNA through WASP, thus Mycolactone project is a problem.
    • This project has been rejected

icE Coli

  • Different Applications:
    • Protein folding can be a problem at high temperatures
    • Production of antibiotics in a low temperature to preserve them
    • Far future: Produce only pathogenic in low temperature than add to human body as vaccine
    • Low cost/ecological: Growing on the labtable instead of autoclave
  • Labwork: order stuff
  • Patent found on the genes cpn10/60
    • We will contact the patent office of UvA to check this
  • Multiple promoters can be used
    • IPTG and cold-inducing
      • This can be used for 2 different genes
  • Color the genes: Blue when cold, Red when hot
