  • Genootschap and Elsevier will send info to us


Labwork

  • Pouring plates
  • Transformation of plasmids
  • Everything should be documented on the wiki

Extra work

  • Find more promoters
  • Test for antibiotics VS cold resistance
  • Combine our idea with other iGEM teams
  • Is the Mexico biobrick available?
  • Synthesized genes should be ordered
  • Check the different medals of last year and their requirements, because we want to get gold!


Human outreach

  • High schools are closed during the summer
  • Ad valvas will be contacted for a short part in their paper in the last edition of the current schoolyear and another article in the first edition of the next schoolyear.

Nemo discussion (Meeting of Minds) Wednesday 29th of June with Rathenau institute

  • We will send an email about the topics of that day

      • Oil degrading at sea… this can’t be done at 37 degrees
      • Mexico ice team of last year
    • Use cold resistance as exchange for antibiotic
    • Problem with eukaryotic cells, they don't grow that fast
    • Energy reduction
  • Roel Bovenberg at DSM can help for industrial ideas.
  • Social technical network: The person, who will work with our bacteria, knows what to do
  • We can invite Swierstra again at the end of the project for last discussion


Each week we will have an extra meeting, with teammembers only
