Human Practices is a pillar of iGEM that have some loose guidelines... which I (Laura) LOVE because there is so much room for creativity and innovation.
I have outlined below some of our main objectives for this project:
1. Build bridges between individuals, communities and countries.
a. The focus is not on ourselves, it is about bridging the gap between researchers of synthetic biology and those outside of this field.
2. Actively seek out mutually transforming relationships.
a. We do not want a one-way relationship - we want symbiosis. b. We aim to learn as much as we do to teach.
3. Use multimedia tools to reach the community in an interesting, engaging way.

We are going to be delivering a workshop at Vancouver Science World and also tending a booth during the University of British Columbia's orientation day for undergraduates.
It will be a great opportunity to deploy some of the available iGEM outreach resources (http://openwetware.org/wiki/IGEM_Outreach) and also recruit new team members for next year!
