The UBC iGEM 2011 team has initiated an iGEM dictionary, contributed mentorship and outreach resources to CommunityBricks, collaborating with many iGEM teams to promote outreach and human practices! On our wiki, you can read about our mentorship endeavors and annual analysis of public perception. In addition, since our project ultimately seeks to use synthetic yeast to tackle the pine beetle epidemic in North America, we have initiated a discourse on the release of synthetic biology into the open, interviewing several experts in the field regarding this topic.
