Gel Electrophoresis of OmpA PCR Product

Purpose:
To check to see if the ompA gene was replicated. The gene is 1041 base pairs long.
Procedures:
-Mix 0.30 grams of agarose and 30 mL of 1X TAE Buffer.
-Microwave mixture until boiling
-Pour gel and add a drop of Ethidium Bromide. Mix.
-Let the gel and solidify
-Add ladder and DNA.
