<a href="#" onclick="$('#boxcontent').html('Dr. Takanari Inoue received his graduate education at the University of Tokyo, where he developed a novel chemical-biological technique. Takanari then moved to the Bio-X program at Stanford University as a Quantitative Chemical Biology Fellow. His work at Stanford focused on the creation of other novel synthetic biological techniques that could rapidly – and inducibly – manipulate activity of a variety of intracellular signaling molecules. Currently, the Inoue laboratory at Johns Hopkins is investigating positive-feedback mechanisms underlying the initiation of neutrophil chemotaxis (known as symmetry breaking), as well as spatio-temporally compartmentalized signaling of Ras and membrane lipids such as phosphoinositides. Ultimately, Takanari will generate completely orthogonal machinery in cells to achieve existing, as well as novel, cellular functions.
(<a href=\'http://esgweb1.nts.jhu.edu/cellbio/dept/InoueProfile.html\'>Homepage)');return false;">Takanari Inoue
