<font size=3>We present AMB-1's growth curve in OD565, the maximum absorbance of AMB-1. It is important to find out the '''log phase''', because the log phase is the best time for electroporation. Therefore, by keeping AMB-1 in "log phase" (approximately <font color=blue>'''3~6 days'''</font> in Enrich-MSGM, <font color=blue>'''7~10 days'''</font> in MSGM), we can get the best results for electroporation. After seven days, the bacterium would go into '''stationary phase'''. During the phase, the growth rate slows as a result of nutrient depletion and accumulation of toxic products. This phase is reached as the bacteria begin to exhaust the available resources. This phase is a constant value as the rate of bacterial growth is equal to the rate of bacterial death. So, if we want to get better quality of electroporation, we must make sure there is enough AMB-1 during log phase.

Growth Curve Of AMB-1 (BBa_K624032)

AMB-1 growth curve with MSGM.
The Horizontal axis is the time of growth (in days) and the Vertical axis is the OD565 (the maximum absorbance of AMB-1). The AMB-1 enters log phase after about 7~10 days.

We present AMB-1's growth curve in OD565, the maximum absorbance of AMB-1. It is important to find out the log phase, because the log phase is the best time for electroporation. Therefore, by keeping AMB-1 in "log phase" (approximately 3~6 days in Enrich-MSGM, 7~10 days in MSGM), we can get the best results for electroporation. After seven days, the bacterium would go into stationary phase. During the phase, the growth slows as a result of nutrient depletion and accumulation of toxic products. The rate of bacterial growth equalling to death rate is best liky to be achieved in this time. And it is of best quality to undergo electroporation or further operation.
