April 5
The Fungus Work Plan was presented to Leo de Graaff last Friday. For now a more detailed script should be made, which contains all necessary information of all the practical work.
April 12
The maximum estimated cost of the synthesis of our constructs is about 5.500 euro's. Strain selection has not been done jet: there were some problems with the strains. The Fungus Work Plan is being worked on.
April 21
The A. nidulans strain (A1147) we ordered from the FGSC arrived today!
April 27
A. nidulans strain A1147 inoculated on complete medium plate complemented with vitamin solution (riboflavin), uridine and p-aminobenzoicacid. Grown overnight at 37°C.
April 29
A. niger strains with GFP, RFP and YFP were received on plates. These strains were donated by A. Vinck. We will use these strains to familiarize ourselves with the microscope. The plates were left during the weekend at room temperature.
