Banking services

Banking hours in the city are between 9:30 - 16:00 h, Monday through Friday.

ATM's

AMTs can be found throughout the city. Please note that a service charge may be debited from your account.

Restaurants

Most restaurants' kitchens are open from 18:00 - 21:30 h.

Shops

Most shops are open between 09:00 - 18:00 h on weekdays, except on Thursdays when they stay open until 21:00. On Sathurday, shops are open from 09:00-17:00 h. Shops in the centre of Amsterdam are also open on Sundays.

Tipping

Services charged are included in the bill at restaurants and bars. A tip of 5% is appreciated or for small amounts you can round up the total charge. A similar percentage should be normal added to taxi fares and fares are always indicated on the taximeter.
