Donning our newly purchased lab coats, today we got a chance to do our first bacterial transformations using the Biobricks we chose yesterday and using a standard transformation protocol. We checked our streaked plates from yesterday. Growth was seen with no visable contamination. From the streaked plates, we isolated single colonies and made liquid cultures. After this we made up glycerol stock. Everyone is excited to see whether our transformations are a success!
