Electrode Plating

For the electrodes we used the Screen printed Carbon Electrodes from Pine Instruments. These electrodes needed to be plated in zinc phthalocyanine for our purposes.

  1. Dissolve 100µg of zinc phthalocyanine in 10mL of DMF.
  2. Stir until dissolved.
  3. Dip only the working electrode (outer electrode) into the solution, and hold it there for 5 seconds.
  4. Let the electrode air dry until there is no more solution present on the electrode.

NOTE: This should be performed in a fume hood due to the toxic nature of DMF
