What is the effect of the news media in the perception and progression of Synthetic Biology? We believe that this is one of the most important issues facing the field. We interviewed the Executive Director of the Presidential Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues, and conducted a survey of over 200 respondents investigating the role of the media in their perception of synthetic biology.
