There were workshops put on by the Alberta Innovates Technology Futures, as well as conferences on topics from oil sands microbiology to synthetic biology as a field. Talking to other scientists in various fields helped us to build networks and gain collaborations with other labs.</p>

<p>Our team will be attending the iGEM competition in Indianapolis on October 8-10. Depending on how we do at this conference we could also be attending the finals in Boston. We hope to see you there!</p>

Conferences

This summer the University of Calgary iGEM team sent delegates to several conferences.
