Conferences

This summer the University of Calgary iGEM team sent delegates to several conferences. There were workshops put on by the Alberta Innovates Technology Futures, as well as conferences on topics from oil sands microbiology to synthetic biology as a field. Click on the conferences titles below to learn more about them.

At all of these conferences our team members learnt a lot about both science in general and how to approach our project. We even presented our project at some and posters at others! Talking to other scientists in various fields helped us to build networks and gain collaborations with other labs.

Our team will be attending the iGEM competition in Indianapolis on October 8-10th. Depending on how we do at this conference we could also be attending the finals in Boston. We hope to see you there!
