Materials:

Ampicillin powder

ddH2O

sterile syringe

syringe filter

sterile 15ml centrifuge tube

Procedure:

1. Weigh the appropriate amount of antibiotic powder for the amount of ddH2O to be used. (we use 0.25g in 5 ml of H2O to make a 50mg/ml solution.)

2. Mix your antibiotic with your ddH2O

3. Absorb your solution with the sterile syringe.

4. Place the syringe filter onto the syringe.

5. Filter your solution into the sterile 15ml centrifuge tube.
