You can write a background of your team here. Give us a background of your team, the members, etc. Or tell us more about something of your choosing.

Tell us more about your project. Give us background. Use this is the abstract of your project. Be descriptive but concise (1-2 paragraphs)

Team Example

Safety

Would any of your project ideas raise safety issues in terms of: researcher safety, public safety, or environmental safety?
The chassis and parts we will be working with are not inherently dangerous and generally considered safe to work with. In addition, we will be working in established laboratories with safety protocols firmly in place that we will be following. We will be using personal protective equipment where applicable and ensure that there is no accidental release that could endanger public or environmental safety.

Do any of the new BioBrick parts (or devices) that you made this year raise any safety issues? If yes, did you document these issues in the Registry? How did you manage to handle the safety issue? How could other teams learn from your experience?
We have not yet designed new BioBrick parts. However, the proteins we are planning to work with are not dangerous for humans or the environment. Should such issues arise against expectations, we will deal with the safety issues and thoroughly document them on the Registry.

Is there a local biosafety group, committee, or review board at your institution? If yes, what does your local biosafety group think about your project? If no, which specific biosafety rules or guidelines do you have to consider in your country?
There is a biosafety group at our university and no work on the project will commence before at his been approved by this group.

Do you have any other ideas how to deal with safety issues that could be useful for future iGEM competitions? How could parts, devices and systems be made even safer through biosafety engineering?
Unfortunately it is too early in the project to answer this question. However, we will be addressing these issues throughout our project.
