Wuuuhuuuuu! We have recieved our human cytochrome p450s with the mail today. What a relief. We are very grateful and send many happy thoughts to the sweet professor Guengerich who supplied them.

Lab Work

  • We did a Mini prep of what we hope to be a plasmid containing CYP79B1
  • We cut the (hopefully) purified CYP79A2 and CYP79B1 with restrictionsenzymes Pst1 and Xba1 to confirm that our mutations have destroyed these restrictionsites.
  • We transformed competent cells with the mutants we made yesterday (with new and improved math)
  • We made a lot of LB plates for future use.
