We continued our quest to make mutant cyp's. We still need CYP79A2 and CYP79B1 (maybe CYP79A1 but we certaintly hope not) We still haven't gotten our sequence from the CYP79A1 we purified yesterday so we are not completely sure what it is, but we believe in positive thinking and have added prefix and suffix to it, in order to make our first BioBrick.

Lab Work

• Digested our template plasmid

• Transformed XL1-Blue with mutants CYP79A1, CYP79A2 and CYP79B1

• Did a PCR with mutant CYP79A1 and primers designed with prefix and suffix
