| SIU Ka Yan, Karen (BSc III),
from the University of Hong Kong, major in Microbiology and minorin Biology. Her post in iGEM team is principal investigator (PI) as well as photographer. Her participation in iGEM because she wants to know more about synthetic biology and hopes to get hand on experience on doing laboratory work so that she can be well-prepared for the future. Although there are also laboratory sessions included in the courses taken, all the procedures and materials used in those practical are prepared by post-graduates and professors. Joining iGEM, there is a chance for them to design and implement a project themselves. It’s her pleasure to join iGEM because she learns a lot from this!
