Uppsala University conducts high quality education on elementary, advanced and research level. Ranked among the 100 top universities in the world, the Uppsala University was founded in 1477 and is the oldest university among the Scandinavian countries. Uppsala University has 40 000 students and is one of the most prestigious university of Sweden, eight scientists have been awarded the Nobel Prize. Many prize-winners also hold an open lecture at Uppsala University, in advance of the prize ceremony.
As the only participating team from Sweden, the Uppsala-Sweden team are pleased to represent Uppsala University and Sweden in iGEM 2011.

Super senior (or 5th year student) at Molecular Biotechnology Engineering Program at Uppsala University. Spent one year at Cornell University on exchange, studying within Biological Engineering major. Applied and got accepted for transferring to the Ivy League school, but chose to finish the degree in Uppsala. Participated in iGEM 2010, providing the team with past iGEM experiences.

The originator of the project idea, inspired by the Tabor, Levskaya and Voigt article. Plans, coordinates and manages lab work. "Medals are for everyone who show lab results!"
