Overall project
Our goal for this year was only to build a usable part for teams to use in the future. We want to create a translational unit-terminator combination this year. By using Gibson Assembly we will be able to bind our DNA strands together. This will help us with our future goals. The goal over the next few years is to create and insert a plasmid into yeast that will cause it to glow when placed in a solution containing a certain metal such as: copper, arsenic, lead, etc.
