The ideal Solution II would be freshly made, using 10 N NaOH.
To make 5 ml of Solution II using 0.4% NaOH stock and 10% SDS stock solution we use:
2.50 ml 0.4 N NaOH 0.05 ml 10% SDS 2.45 ml distilled water or NF water
