Safety:

Initial Bleach Kill Curve

Sample Bacteria for OD and initial cell number

-log phase culture OD= .194

-stationary phase culture OD= .685

- No cell count for either (too many)

Experiment

-Mix 4.5 mL culture with 500λ bleach

-Incubate for 15 minutes and plate 1 mL

-Collect 1 mL and spin to pellet

-Wash twice with TE and resuspend in 100λ LB and then plate

- Result: No Colonies

Note: LB plates had bright pink colonies
