<p>The Wellcome Trust Fund kindly sponsored us in the form of stipends for all the students, ensuring that we could concentrate on our experiments and not have to worry about suddenly finding ourselves homeless due to overdue rent! The Wellcome Trust Fund was established over 75 years ago, and aims to advance a variety of disciplines of medicinal and biological sciences. Their three main areas of interest are: outstanding researchers; Application of research; and medicine in culture. The trust was initially established in order to distribute the fortune of sir Henry Wellcome, and has continued to provide significant support for advances in science.</p>
