Stress sensor (rrnB+LacI+pLac+mCherry)
The stress sensor is our main construct. It is made from the following biobricks:

The stress sensor is locadet inside the plasmid pSB1A2, carrying ampicillin resistance. We have put the stress sensor through several tests (see figure)
We have discovered that growing the cells containing the biosensor in a medium low in amino acids is the main way to activate it. As the figure shows, growing the cells in temperatures higher than 37 °C has little effect compared to growing them in a minimal medium.
