<p>Three members of the University of Calgary's iGEM team, Robert, Emily and Patrick, woke up at 5am one day this summer to travel to Bassano, 140km from Calgary. Bassano is home to 1390 people We did this to visit the school in this rural community and teach them about the sciences, university, iGEM and synthetic biology. We had the help of Wendy Hutchins, a leader of the <a href="http://www.ucalgary.ca/lts/">Let's Talk Science</a> program here at the University of Calgary. </p>

Bassano

Three members of the University of Calgary's iGEM team, Robert, Emily and Patrick, woke up at 5am one day this summer to travel to Bassano, 140km from Calgary. Bassano is home to 1390 people We did this to visit the school in this rural community and teach them about the sciences, university, iGEM and synthetic biology. We had the help of Wendy Hutchins, a leader of the Let's Talk Science program here at the University of Calgary.
