The colony I had picked seemed to have grown but also the density was off... so I looked carefully and could clearly see that the viscosity and low density of the medium was due to lysis... I was happy that my lysis cassette worked (or seemed to work) but could not understand why it worked at 30°C...

Lysis cassette

The little hoped for experiment III

The colony I had picked seemed to have grown but also the density was off... so I looked carefully and could clearly see that the viscosity and low density of the medium was due to lysis... I was happy that my lysis cassette worked (or seemed to work) but could not understand why it worked at 30°C...

I looked at the plate I had picked the colony from and 2 new colonies were visible as well as the now larger older one... So I picked all 3
