Lysis by Alkali
The contents of these tubes was vortex-ed and poured into its corresponding centerfuge tube above each tube was rinsed with about 1 ml nuclease free water and poured into the corresponding centrifuge tubes.
These six centerfuge tubes were subsequently centerfuged at 4 degrees C. at 12,000 rpm for 30seconds twice. each tube was then decanted and wicked without disturbing the supernatant.
