Combined with AHL, luxR induces lux pR. lux pR regulates the expression of GFP. Upon addition of AHL the GFP expression increases.


BBa_K546000 - Autoinducer 3OC6HSL Receiver Device with a lux pR Controlled Autoinducer Synthetase: AHL responsive element that produces a low constitutive level of luxR via lux pL. Combined with AHL, luxR induces lux pR. lux pR regulates the expression of autoinducer synthetase.

BBa_K546546 - Tunable Synchronized Oscillatory System: This system mainly consists of a positive and negative feedback loop, that are both tunable. With the right parameters oscillations can be created when the loops are active, as there is an interplay between the loops. Both the positive and negative feedback loops are AHL responsive. Without tuning our team succeeded in creating oscillations.


BBa_K546003 - 3OC6HSL Receiver Device with lux pR: 3-oxohexanoyl-homoserine lactone (AHL) responsive element that constitutively produces an intermediate level of LuxR via lux pL promoter. Combined with AHL, luxR activates lux pR promoter. This part is a repaired version of BBa_F2621 that appeared to be defective (R0063 missing), when we sequenced the part.
