Each laboratory provides the necessary laboratory space for the students. The internship agreements between the students and the laboratories (and institutions) have been signed. The laboratories provide the necessary infrastructure for microbiology experiments and potential biotechnological applications that may be part of the project. The engineering laboratories are well equipped for microscopy and single-cell measurements that may be used to assess the functioning of the strains. | Each laboratory provides the necessary laboratory space for the students. The team is composed of 10 students. Half of them are biologists from the biology department of the university of Grenoble. The other half are engineering students from the Grenoble Institute of Technology, having taken some more specialized courses in biotechnology. The instructors are also from these two fields. In addition, one (may be two) students will work in the bioinformatics laboratory of Hidde de Jong. All three institutions (university, engineering school, and national informatics institute) have ample meeting space for regular discussions between the students working in physically different laboratories. | The team is composed of 10 students.
